Why was our company established?

In 2020 when business came to an abrupt halt due to the Covid-19 Pandemic we noticed that many of the essential needs of our community were not being met. While business slowed down personal needs were still occurring and even increasing. The need to have documents notarized quickly became essential yet quality service providers were few. With the support of my family, I enrolled in all the necessary courses and successfully passed exams to become a California Notary Public. In January 2021 I received my Commission and on February 22, 2021 I launched JN Notary & Professional Services. As a result of our efforts and sacrifice, as of 2024 JN Notary & Professional Services is the only minority woman owned, five-star rated, and WRMSDC Corporate Ready certified Notary business with two stationary offices within the Bayview & Portola area where the seniors and other members of the community can come and feel safe and empowered. Many community members have commented on our affordable and convenient mobile services as we assist clients who have a difficult time leaving their home, getting around, in a restrictive living situation, or in a time crunch.

We are aware that underserved communities are filled with people who are in transitional stages of life, be it living on a fixed income, considered working poor, under privileged, re-entry candidates, or to some considered as outcasts. We also know that there are many resources available, yet many times people find it difficult to ask for assistance, locate services, or meet the fine print qualifications or inferred social standards. Unfortunately, many community members miss out on valuable resources due to the following factors: pride, trust, confidentiality issues, fear of the unknown, and judgement. Our overall objective is to meet the need, make the connection, and provide support to all participants and those within their circle. One of the many ways that we give back to the community is to ensure that the services are affordable and available to everyone.

Other than Notary, what do we do?

As part of our professional services, we provide personal administrative assistance for seniors and the disabled within the community  through JN Outreach Foundation, we aim to empower the community members and offer them an opportunity to improve their situation and evoke change by taking advantage of services and resources that will shift their perspective, create change, demonstrate human kindness, and meet their needs as it relates to being treated with respect, obtaining food and clothing, partaking in learning opportunities, addressing basic personal service needs, and being exposed to positive energy in a safe and nonjudgmental environment.

 

At JN Notary we have an opportunity to be the change that we want to see and when clients step into our office the response is always the same, “Wow this is so welcoming and calming”. That means a lot to me as I pride myself on providing excellent customer service while also offering moments of peace in this chaotic society. We offer an environment of peace and we consistently provide an overall sense of security for all clients be it in-office or mobile.
